Any Home Bakers Here?

My gluten free sourdough loaf turned out so so.
Think my batter was too wet. GF dough isn't really a dough but rather a thick batter so its easy to make a minor mistake.

The bread is tasty but kind of flat. Will still make good sandwiches and considering I was adding the GF SDS to my own whole grain GF recipe and not a published one, I'm content with the learning experience.

We have all had "not the perfect" LOAF. Practice and different recipes...TRIAL ERROR a LEARNING experience ...that it becomes a challenge. AND YOU WILL BECOME SUCCESSFUL. When my husband was working with his Bread Machine...not too successful..he would give the squirrels a treat. AND while he was learning, trial, error our squirrels were very happy. SOON the squirrels were sad. He had become successful with his Bread Baking.

My GF SD loaves have been tasty, but flat too. It was flat out AWESOME with some homemade lentil soup!

Gonna make a lot of noise here, because I'm going to grind some brown rice. Sounds like I'm trying to grind pebbles!
Good to know I've got company with the flat sourdough. And lentil soup sounds yummy! Mine would also be perfect sopping up soup or smearing up some marinara!

Grinding pebbles...😂

I just noticed something about GF SDS. I probably should have fed her yesterday, but didn't. She'd risen, and now has settled. The bottom inch, which had no bubble activity (that's common for her) now has little bubbles. Like the stuff that settled to the bottom of the jar has now become food.
It will come back when you feed it.
