I mixed up a sourdough loaf last night and realized somehow I put double the water in. I had enough starter though so I mixed up another one. I figured my granddaughter might enjoy playing with some watery but bubbly dough.

I ended up making crumpets or English muffins. I put @pennyJo1960 ’s crumpet rings in iron skillets and precooked them in there then finished in the oven. It was tricky getting the dough into them because it was very rubbery! I tried with a ladle and it didn’t want to leave so I ended up just using my hand.

We are going to have some cold and windy days this week, followed by warm wet ones. Gardening waits till another week.

You’re not gonna believe what I saw today with my areas weather.

I was driving home from church, and I saw this very dense WALL of falling snow. There was no snow falling on my car at that moment, but right when I drove into the wall of falling snow, it was a blizzard.

Apparently, it’s called a precipitation shaft. I’ve heard of them, but I never thought I would see one in my life.
