Any Home Bakers Here?

I need to make a loaf of Betsy bread for DH today. I've been working in the garden a lot this last week. Really warm, and it's making the weeds take off!

A few days ago, I discovered I like rhubarb. Yep, never had it before, so I asked my neighbor (Betsy, of the bread fame!) for one stalk. I simmered it in a little water, added a little sugar, and ate it up!

I bought two rhubarb plants, and Betsy gave me a start from hers. It's out in the garden now. Another perennial to just "maintain," not have to plant every year. I like that.

We have two sour cherry trees, and they both have a lot of blooms on them. The flowers held back when it was so cold; hopefully we are done with frost. In a bit of hopeful confidence that we will actually get cherries this year, I bought a small hand held cherry pitter.:gig
