We ate them all, but you see they are … well, messed up.
So, my friendly bakers that will refrain from asking me how I messed up such a simple recipe, how did I mess up? Does it look like I just didn’t mix the dough enough? I am using someone else’s kitchen, and I had limited space and tools (I used my hands to mix it in a tiny bowl before turning it out to finish on a small counter), so that is possible.

I’ve been revamping a few of my favorite recipes and made a batch of @N F C gluten free pb chocolate chip cookies with a couple of modifications today. Still super delicious. Recently made another cake in my instant pot for the fam. They’ll usually eat about half at a time so have been freezing slices for treats whenever. Anyway, just wanted to say hello, take care all.

Here is recipe for that one.
German Apple cake.
Ingredients:
125g butter
125g powdered sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons of baking soda
250 g flour
3 apples
25 g butter for brushing
Bake: 180°C / 356°F 40 mins.
Baking pan size: 21 cm x 27 cm
I altered by using 2 round pans, and dusted with a cinnamon/brown sugar.

Second pan,, Pans lined with parchment paper. Easy removal after baking.

Notes..
First time doing this apple cake recipe. I baked in 2 pans that I thought would work well. All did work out well,,,,My concern about using just one pan,, was,,,,,,, Cake would rise too high, for the pan. In hindsight, and for next time,,, will use one pan, and end up with a thicker cake.

Dough mix for Buns, and fancy rolls
Ingredients:
for the dough:
milk - 300 ml (10.14 fl oz)
yeast - 10 g (0.35 oz)
sugar - 50 g (1.76 oz)
salt - 10 g (0.35 oz)
vanilla sugar - 10 g (0.35 oz)
flour - 600 g (21.16 oz)
eggs - 2 pieces
To leaven 1 h

Rolled into long log, and cut into 12 equal portions.

This flower bud design uses 2 separate pieces. I divide a dough portion into 2. Rolled one into ball, and second half,, rolled flat, and slit 4 cuts.

Baked @ 350°F for 20 minutes... They were still kind of blond,, so I added 5 more minutes to give them a nice TAN
