Any Home Bakers Here?

Good morning, everyone.

I did an interesting experiment I found in this book. Don’t worry, it’s baking related.

One of the experiments was labeled “ make your own lemon soda“

Apparently, you combine the juice of one lemon with equal parts of water. Then, you add sugar to taste, then you add 1/2 a teaspoon of baking soda. I tried it out, and the result is something that tastes like lemon soda!

Adding the baking soda releases CO2 which causes carbonation.

I am having an “I should not be allowed to bake today” day. :lau

I forgot to set a timer, and only checked the bread because I could smell it was done. The top loaf stuck in the pan, and I forgot to add the raisins into the dough. I simply folded them into the middle. I didn’t flour the towel I was working on, so it stuck to the towel. The second loaf I kneaded the raisins into, and floured the towel. That is the one I’ll be giving away. :thumbsup
In the end, nothing is burnt, and I’m sure it will taste okay.
