Any Home Bakers Here?

I think it was @OrganicFarmWife who asked about freezing the gummies. I just pulled them out of the freezer and left out to thaw and am surprised to say it turned out fine! So there you go, I guess you can freeze them too!

Nachos? You guys mentioned nachos!! I think I could eat those for breakfast. We like to do that for dinner about once a week...seasoned hamburger, diced onion, black olives, sour cream, guacamole, salsa and of course lots of melted cheese to hold it all on the chips.

The other day I saw some article about XX number of ways to make nachos. Most of them were variations on what we do but one of them I cannot figure out...apple slices with raisins and drizzled with either peanut butter or caramel (can't quite remember). Now how on earth does that count as nachos? Definitely not nachos in my book. (But I can see it as a fruit snack.)

Hi @ChicksAre4Kids , I never would have thought to add apple to a peanut butter cookie. Thanks for joining us!

Lots more time for me too cook now and take care of my girls since my X4 bypass. I updated a bunch of my own recipes to use better 'heart healthy' ingredients. My meatloaf rocks! I also substituted plain greek yogurt for sour cream in a tuna (NEVER CHICKEN! LOL) casserole that turned out great! I may post more recipes here if anyone wants them. Right now, I need to go try a lemon bars recipe I got here..... heh heh

You know you're always invited but you'd have a long drive, lol. This is the perfect SB party for us...food and movies   Funny, I don't really get into sports but I love sports movies. Something about the hard work, the accomplishment, working as a team toward a goal. Sports movies are great (just don't make me go to an actual game).

I think the antipasto will be one item for sure. I could even throw some cooked farfalle pasta in it and make it a salad.

Yep, need something salty and something sweet so keep your eyes open for me!

How about mini Wienies wrapped in crescent rolls? Did you ever see the movie Lucas? It came out in the 80's, it was about a teenager who was on the small side and wanted to play football.

Yum, antipasto, yep, winner!

How about nachos, love nachos.....

Can someone tell me whether you can stew (red) apples with the skins on? I know the skin on granny smith's can be bitter, but could you leave the skins on red apples and still have it turn out edible?  (don't care what it looks like).  I've got a pile of apples to do something with and no energy to peel them all.

I cook my applesauce that way...it gives it a little pink color.
