Any Home Bakers Here?

True in a lot of places. And often if they bring sewer down the road you are required to connect to it (at your cost) and stop using your septic tank. Thankfully we are 7 miles from the town center, no way they will be bringing "city" water or sewer here any time soon, likely never.

I found a deck of cards on the Internet that I just had to get. I had a deck like this when I was younger. Unfortunately, I lost it. However, I was able to track down another one and get it.

Keep in mind, this is a reproduction deck.

Thumbs up if you know what type of plane that is.

I'm about 9 miles from the nearest town. I doubt they'll bring city water out this far in my lifetime. Well, I hope they don't. I like living in the middle of nowhere, and doing my own thing. Having big gardens and chickens, soon to have bees.

Location, location, location.

We were set up to get "city" water from one town. In order to do so we were going to have to sign an agreement to allow them to annex us. Eventually they would have annexed us so they could tax us. We declined the agreement.

The next year the largest city in the group turned it's water facilities over to "Regional". Some of the smaller cities joined while at least one did not join.

Regional offered to supply us with water and did not require us to sign an annexation agreement. We had to pay for the lines, storage tank and equipment. We did get a grant from the state to help pay for it.

We do not need to worry about a municipality trying to annex us or force us to hook up to their sewer system.

We did need a viable water source since the wells do not have potable water without substantial treatment.
