Found this at a thrift store. It’s a rain stick.

Trying to figure out what to bake today….

Made a recipe this morning for Banana bread
1/2 c shortening
1 c sugar
2 eggs, separated
3 over ripe banana
1/4 cup sour milk (called for 2 tsp sour milk was too dry in my view)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 cups flour

Bake 350 up to 60 minutes
Cream shortening and sugar, add egg yolks well beaten.
Mash ripe banana add to mixture add sour milk and dry ingredients.
Beaten egg whites last. 20230524_140432.jpg 20230524_140437.jpg

Bakers good morning one and all!

Temperature is in the 60s.

My daughter basically taught herself to cook.

Her saying was "if you can read you can cook".

Have a great day!
So true! If you can read you can learn to do practically anything! I learned how to properly ride English one winter from books. My mentor asked me, the following spring, if I'd been taking lessons! (Insert smug grin here.)
