Any Home Bakers Here?

Actually, I inadvertantly did experiment with my GF machine bread. I forgot to add the salt. Yes, it did bake up fine. The flavor was a bit... sweet... is the only way I can describe it. Not sweet like a sweet bread, but a blander flavor than usual.

It's going to toast cubes for stuffing for the turkey, so it doesn't really matter.

Salt also helps the the rise if the dough.

Yes, I knew that. I didn't realize I'd forgotten it until it was way too late. I figured it would be ok for toast cubes, no matter what.

I'm going to make another loaf tomorrow, and I will be sure to add the salt!

I hate it when I forget to add salt to the recipe!

It goes in with other dry stuff: Flour, oatmeal, and dry potato flakes. I usually put them in the bowl in that order. Tomorrow, I'm going to put the salt in right after the flour!

Oh, I'll put the canister of salt out on the counter next to the bowl too. :gig

I finally got the shotgun barrel in the mail. The seller included a modified choke, which was actually what I was missing.

My Remington 870 express pump action shotgun is back in commission, so I can hunt again!
