Any Home Bakers Here?

To be completely honest, I feel like it will be more fun and more educational for me if I try cooking over a campfire.

However, you do have a good point. I can always cook on the stove top and the microwave.
It depends on how long it takes to get the replacement part for the oven.

Sometimes fun can become tedious when the cooking time and method is long and involved.

Have fun cooking outside!

We were able to track down the part for the oven, but it’s about $400. We can’t afford it now, but we have some other ways we can cook, besides Dutch oven.

You are right, it can be tedious. But it’s still fun.

SUCCESS!

Congratulations on the weight loss. My Dad was a "grazer" also. Every time he went through the kitchen he got a bite of something... fruit, Little Debbie cake, cheese. He never ate much at one time. He lived to be 98 years young. The morning of the day he died he was tinkering in his workshop whistling a tune. I sure miss him!
My thoughts are with you.

Hi guys,

I need some advice. With my oven out of commission, I cannot cook with it. I have very limited options to cook now. One of my options is to use a Dutch oven in the fire pit outside. That actually works out well, because I’ve always wanted to try that.

We need to be able to make dinner, so I need some ideas for Dutch oven dinner recipes. I am going to research on the Internet, but I would like to know what you guys think also.

Any ideas for cast-iron Dutch oven recipes? Specifically the kind you cook outside with charcoal.

Jared

I would think you could cook anything that you cook on a stove over the coals.
