Congratulations on the weight loss. My Dad was a "grazer" also. Every time he went through the kitchen he got a bite of something... fruit, Little Debbie cake, cheese. He never ate much at one time. He lived to be 98 years young. The morning of the day he died he was tinkering in his workshop whistling a tune. I sure miss him!I have to agree with you.
I have been putting fort the effort to lose weight since I
retired, and I eat anything.
I eat cake, candy, pie, and anything else I find that I want.
I have lost over 100 pounds.
My goal is always 5 pounds
It has taken me a while to lose it, but it is staying off.
Also I'm a grazer.
Congrats! 100 pounds sounds like a lot of work to loseI have to agree with you.

Hi Jared,Hi guys,
I need some advice. With my oven out of commission, I cannot cook with it. I have very limited options to cook now. One of my options is to use a Dutch oven in the fire pit outside. That actually works out well, because I’ve always wanted to try that.
We need to be able to make dinner, so I need some ideas for Dutch oven dinner recipes. I am going to research on the Internet, but I would like to know what you guys think also.
Any ideas for cast-iron Dutch oven recipes? Specifically the kind you cook outside with charcoal.
Jared
Hi Jared,
You do have a cook top range? You can make stew and etc. in a Dutch oven on the stove top. Another option for baking is using your BBQ, especially if you have a propane BBQ or a Pellet BBQ.
You can also buy a large convection toaster oven. Get one that can bake a 13 inch pizza and you will be able to put 9x13 pans in it. You do need to make sure the pans do not have wide handles.
Some of them now have air fryer mode too. The smaller oven can also save on electricity since it is smaller and in the summer, save on AC costs since it will not heat the house as much.
Thanks for the recipe!A friend of mine lined his dutch oven with bacon strips, then put in veggies meat potatoes and boiling water mit spices,
You dig a hole approximately 18-20 inches deep and 20-24 inches in diameter in the center of the campfire pit. The actual size of the hole depends on the size of your Dutch oven. Line the bottom and the sides of the hole with concrete slabs or flat stones, if available. Check to make sure the oven will fit in the hole with several inches of clearance on all sides.
Start a campfire in the bottom of the hole to create your coals. Add wood to the fire until the hole is 1/2 full of coals. Dig a hole in the coals and place the Dutch oven containing the evening meal in. Now cover the Dutch oven with the coals. Put at least 2-3 inches of coals on top of the lid. Cover the coals with several inches of dirt. Then let the oven sit for 6-8 hours. When you open the Dutch oven, the food will be ready for eating.
A simple Beef Stew recipe for your Dutch oven:
2 pounds of stew beef cut in 1-inch cubes
4/5 Carrots, sliced
1 Onion, diced
3 Potatoes, diced
2/3 Stalks of celery, sliced
1 28 oz. can tomatoes
2 Bay leaves
2 Cups beef broth

Salt and pepper to taste
