Homemade biscuits and apple filling

I have an overwhelming urge to make Devil Dogs. I have been drooling over the recipe for weeks. I am afraid I will either not like them because they taste like Little Debbie (long explanation held back) or really really like them because they taste like Drake Cakes.
I am so conflicted!
Btw, my freezer is getting full with the baking I have been doing.

Make sure your taste testers are available.

They will not taste like "Little Debbie" nor will they taste like "Drake Cakes".

They disappear into waiting mouths very quickly, even those that claim they don't like chocolate.

They do freeze well if any happen to survive the initial onslaught.

OUR SNOW almost all gone. Tempertures hight 40 = 50 and one day 60....
Forecast. Like Spring is comng soon?????

Morni... oops, good afternoon. I'm making Magnolia Farm's biscuits today. She puts eggs in her biscuits! Mine are resting in the fridge right now, ready to bake in a few minutes. If we love them I'll post a pic and the recipe.
