All this discussion about freezers reminds me of this old time one.

SOLUTION TO NOT BEING ABLE TO LOOSE WEIGHT,,,, GET A LARGER SIZE PANTS.

The Avocado freezer you have may outlive the new one you purchase.
The older basic freezers, you needed to defrost occasionally, and that is it. Not much to break down. The newer frost free freezers, , well,, there is more to break, so shorter lifespan.

That’s true about the old appliances! This one just keeps grinding away! It’s ugly as sin but it’s in the garage.

Hubby is going to be gone for a week, and my goal is to eat from the larder and not buy any groceries while he's gone.

Yes, I've stocked up on a few things, like milk. I also plan to go to the store tomorrow for a couple of ingredients for some cooking experiments. Like toum. I need a couple of lemons for juice.

I had to turn my heater on this morning. I am irrationally annoyed. It’s October, it should be getting colder now - but I liked not needing the heater. I’ll have to get the humidifier out too.

I know the feeling. I am unable to work the stove. DARN.
My son when he comes to visit.....gets the stove going. We
still have wood all stacked. We burned wood for a LONG TIME...Nothing like it. I MISS IT and MISS a lot more.
