I have DH's birthday cheesecake in the oven. Cheesecakes make me nervous (this is only the 3rd one I've made). Keeping my fingers crossed it turns out ok!![]()
I read somewhere you cook it for so long and then shut the oven off and leave it in there for several hours and it won't crack.
That's what my recipe calls for. Bake and leave in the oven 5-6 hours. The first time I made it, no cracking. This time? Cracked!
Oh well, DH said it still looks delicious and he wants a piece for breakfast (guess that IS when his b-day starts, lol).
And so it begins......first batch of hot cross buns in the breadmaker! Thought I'd do chocolate chip ones for a change.
Does anyone use meringue powder?
