Any Home Bakers Here?

What's happening with your chickens? Do you get to take them with you?

Unfortunately, I can't take them (or the goats or the rabbits). My flock went to a lovely young couple who is enjoying them and spoiling them just like I did (she's actually a BYC member!). The rabbits went to a friend of DH's. The goats will be at their new home the 1st of May. I miss my birds terribly but it's good to know they're being loved.

will you be able to get new ones at the new house?

I don't know yet. We'll be living in a house that comes with DH's job and I don't know their pet policy.

Until I can get my own again, I'll just live vicariously off you all that have chickens (and ducks)!

Here is a link to a pdf document from the Colorado State University Extension.
It will help you to adjust your favorite recipes.

I guess I just lucked into at a store in Cheyenne.

Excellent document! Thank you so much for the information, I'll print it out and keep with my cook books.

If all else fails, you might be able to raise Quail in the Garage.

Quail eggs are so delicious!
sweet, mild and so good.

But I got tired of them yelling "Peanut BUTTER!" all night long. or maybe it was "Trick or TREAT!"
I don't know, but they were on the back porch too long
Just make sure the garage is on the other side of the house from your bedroom, mine were on the other side of the wall.

Bet there is a no pet policy? You will have a lot of adjustments coming in life style and hope it all works out for the best.
