Any Home Bakers Here?

I haven't used it, but I've seen breads baked with it online (fb bread group). I don't remember what the person said about it. The bread looked good though.
Thanks!

I did not buy it this month but might next month. I did get a bag of Oat fiber though. I will add it to muffins and cookies to add fiber to it. Gotta trick the family into being more healthy!

Green banana flour? Never heard of that, but it does sound interesting. Is it made from the banana skins?

This is from Azure Standard: More information https://www.azurestandard.com/shop/...-flournunana-green-banana-flour-organic/20414

The process of producing banana flour is the following:
  1. The process starts with organic green bananas
  2. The fruit is selected and washed
  3. After washing, the skin is separated from the pulp
  4. The pulp is sliced to facilitate the dehydration process
  5. The pulp is dehydrated at 140 to 160ºC in a rotating dryer oven of continuous cycle
  6. The dehydrated pulp is temporarily stored for approximately 12 hours
  7. The dehydrated and cold pulp is ground until converted in banana powder

Interesting Ron...hope you try it and let us know what you think!

I have 2 questions: does it/what you make with it taste like bananas, and is it expensive?

The description says that it does not taste like bananas. It is more expensive than flour but is less expensive that wheat flour where they grow bananas. You might be able to get it for a good price where you live.

I was going through the azure standard order process and was on the sales section. One of the items there was green banana flour. Does anyone here use that?

Very interesting. I imagine my aunt has heard of it, she is GF, so she might use it. I'll mention it to her.
