Yes, I know, you've mentioned it before. I just wish that I was one of them....I taught my Daughters how to cook and they are very good at it!

I do think that Ron has the recipe there and would suggest the same and I have only just begun to experiment using a very old cookbook from 1961 Wisconsin allotKind of long Ron but I'll post the filling...
1/2 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C AP flour
3 Tab unsweetened cocoa powder
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
It's baked for 25-30 minutes at 325*. The recipe just said to cool on a wire rack but I think putting it in the fridge should help.
Opines?
Did I read the recipe wrong? I think is says to bake the pie with the filling at 325 for 20 to 30 minutes. If so, do that and use a thermometer
Ok, I re-read your post and get it now. Thanks!

Have fun!The Red Hat ladies are coming for lunch Thursday. As their "colors" are red and purple, I'm going to try a new cake recipe on them...strawberry. Hoping they like it!
Anyone else try something new lately?
Have fun!
My kitchen is not functional because of new counters being installed. The job was messed up so we have to wait until Thursday to get the sink hooked up. The installers come back tomorrow and then we have to wait a day before installing the fixtures.
I really miss baking! This weekend I want to bake sourdough bread, loaf bread and an angel food cake for Fathers day.
