Kind of long Ron but I'll post the filling...

1/2 C sugar
1/2 C brown sugar
1/4 C AP flour
3 Tab unsweetened cocoa powder
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract

It's baked for 25-30 minutes at 325*. The recipe just said to cool on a wire rack but I think putting it in the fridge should help.

Opines?
I do think that Ron has the recipe there and would suggest the same and I have only just begun to experiment using a very old cookbook from 1961 Wisconsin allot

Ok, I re-read your post and get it now. Thanks!

My guess is that the filling in the pie did not get hot enough to set. Refrigerating would not change the consistency. What you are making is a creamier and sweet version of a quiche

The Red Hat ladies are coming for lunch Thursday. As their "colors" are red and purple, I'm going to try a new cake recipe on them...strawberry. Hoping they like it!

Anyone else try something new lately?

Have fun!
My kitchen is not functional because of new counters being installed. The job was messed up so we have to wait until Thursday to get the sink hooked up. The installers come back tomorrow and then we have to wait a day before installing the fixtures.

I really miss baking! This weekend I want to bake sourdough bread, loaf bread and an angel food cake for Fathers day.

understand that I really feel for errors that have been made there utter frustration for anyone

I cooked pork cutlets yesterday and had to wash the pots and pans in the bath tub. Quite a hassle for sure. It has been over a week since we had no sink. At least we have the stove now.
