Will do. Oh, the starter actually fluffed up and kind of "climbed the walls" of the jar this last time I fed it (per your directions)

That is great news!

Midnight Blue. It's thornless. I just purchased it this year and love it. The color is off in my pic. It's actually a darker more purple color, like Ebb Tide. What kind of roses are those? They're so pretty. We also have clove scented roses (Ebb Tide roses), that look similar to yours. They smell heavenly!
So I FINALLY got some more flour - going to start my sourdough today. So prepare for lots of dumb questions - lol! First dumb question - do I leave it on the counter top? When I had starter years ago, seems like it was kept at room temp, but can't fully remember. It's not refrigerated, is it?
For roses I recommend High Country Roses, Edmund Roses and Heirloom Roses.will see if Gurneys carries the Ebb tide rose
I seriously doubt they are in stock anywhere at this time of year. I personally will not buy roses from Gurneys but have had real good luck with purchases from the three listed sites.great as Gurneys said they can't ship till they are in season
Heirloom Roses has it at 45.00 in Gallon pot a bit much for me just now
the other two said no stock
Sounds good!Baking 4 loaves of zucchini/squash bread tonight. I substituted applesauce in instead of oil![]()
Sounds good!
A lot of studies are showing that oil is good for us. More calories from oil and fat(not high calories but as a percentage of calories extended the life of mice in a study at UC Davis
I like things baked with apple sauce! Keep on going with it.I'll have to look in to that. I just have about 50 jars of applesauce sitting around and less than a gallon of oil left right now lol
