Any Home Bakers Here?

The acorns would be fun to send for Thanksgiving.
What are the tops?
Oh! Mini vanilla wafers and a butterscotch chip?

Hershey Kiss, mini nilla wafer and yep, a butterscotch chip top. You stick the pieces together with a dab of chocolate frosting. I thought they were kind of cute. And they seem right for this time of year (judging from the bazillion acorns covering our yard).

We made halloween cards and put little plastic spider rings inside for my sons class. Kids have too many allergies these days, so didn't want to make something and have the school throw it out or send it back. The cards were fun to make. For my daycare halloween snacks, last year I put chocolate chips on an peeled banana to make ghost eyes, nose and mouth and just draw Jack o lantern faces of a cuties then make PB&J, cut the sandwiches in circles and stick pretzel sticks in them to make them look like spiders. That's are halloween lunch! The kids loved it last year, so might just do the same this year.

Although the ideas you all posted are so cute, if not for all the allergies, I would ask the teacher if I could bring a special homemade snack.

Is anyone baking or making Halloween treats this year? I'm thinking about trying something but need some ideas.
we take the Oriental noodles cover them with melted butterscotch chips and add chocolate chips for eyes food coloring if desired and have spiders. On the calling anyone from Missouri thread someone made deviled egg ghoul eyes.

Alice28, good to see you again! Good idea to keep the allergies in mind.

I always liked those crunchy noodles with melted butterscotch chips (I think they're called Haystacks?). Never thought about making them into spiders.

Just went into town to pick up some groceries and I got the stuff to make the witches hats and the ghost Nutter Butters. I'm going to change up the hats a bit and use dark chocolate cookies and kisses and orange frosting for the kiss "glue". I'm hoping the orange frosting will ooze out a bit around the kiss for kind of a hat band look. The little local store didn't have mini Nilla Wafers so won't do the acorns now (but I really would like to try them around Thanksgiving).

@NorthFLChick, Thanks. I try to read and keep up my best. Just haven't been commenting. I have made some sourdough bread, so have done a little baking and I canned 47 jars of applesauce over the weekend. Hoping to be able to keep up better next month. The last few months have been busy. I'm looking at all the ideas because I have to make some goodies for the cake walk for my sons schools carnival.
