Any Home Bakers Here?

Lol makes it alot easier to make dinner when its already made! Lol i already have plans for some of the left over turkey. I make chicken enchiladas and i plan on making it with the turkey i rarely cook it because my husband not a fan of sour cream or cream of mushroom soup so yeah.

Is everyone busy in the kitchen today?

I'm going to get a pumpkin pie made up. DH just said not to bother with dinner rolls so that makes today easier. Our turkey is going to take some help defrosting. It's been in the extra fridge since Monday morning and is still mostly frozen.

@shortgrass
your Maple Pumpkin Cheesecake looks delicious! Thanks for sharing the recipe. We love the taste of the real maple syrup so usually have that on hand (unless we've used it up on French toast, lol).

I ran to the store at 7am because we were out of milk, then came home and made the pumpkin pie filling and piped the pie in the oven and started on the rolls. The rolls are rising now and the pie is all done. Then I swept and mopped the kitchen and bathroom while my son played with one of the daycare kids and the baby had his bottle. Now it's 9am and I feel like I've been super productive! Lol. I'm a little stressed about getting the house all nice and clean for tomorrow.

Oh and x2 on the cheesecake! I hate pumpkin pie, so maybe will have to try this next year!

@Alice28 don't get too stressed over a clean house, just shove things in drawers and under beds

You don't want to be too tired to enjoy tomorrow!

@NorthFLChickHere is the toffee recipe. I use a heaping cup of nuts chopped coarsely instead of three fourths of a cup. I make this and give it to people I would like to give something small to with their card

Sounds easy and yummy! A winning combination!!!!

I have the cracker spread done, flock block made for the girl's treat tomorrow and the pumpkin pie is in the fridge (plus a single pie crust in the freezer for whatever).

DH is making the dressing and cranberry relish either today or tomorrow morning (he's working from home today). That just leaves the turkey, mashed potatoes & gravy and green bean casserole for tomorrow.

Yay, I think it's coming together!

I'm already dreaming of left overs...to me, that's the best part

I have never made the dressing ahead, but it would be so much more convenient to do that today.

How do you reheat the dressing?

Made and froze honey wheat rolls and made biscuits for dressing last Sunday. Got the cornbread baked and ready for dressing. Now onto a pumpkin pie.

I'm leaving that up to DH, dressing is his part, lol. I don't know if he's just getting everything ready today and will assemble/bake tomorrow or if he's going to do it all today and just stick it back in the oven tomorrow.

Of course, he just left with his clubs and bag to hit a few balls at the driving range so his time today is kind of limited.

Hahaha! I've been telling my husband all week that after work on Wednesday (now today!) that I need help getting the house all picked up and ready for tomorrow, so what does he do last night? Schedules a side job after work today!

He probably thinks the house looks great and there isn't anything left for him to do. That's been my experience anyway.

Don't worry Alice, I bet your house looks fine. People shouldn't be coming to do a white-glove test anyway, they'll be coming to get together and have a nice dinner (which I'm sure you're on top of).
