Those are great! Last day tomorrow? My son has one more week until winter break. After thanksgiving break, it has been hard, he doesn't want to go to school, so I'm counting the days.

Yep. We have finished for the year. Well technically they have Monday and Tuesday next week but they are just fun activity days, ones doing lazer skirmish and the other santas helpers so kids are all over the place and they won't nescesarrily be with all their friends.

We are heading into summer break so no more school till February. Yay!

And that makes me curious. Does Australia celebrate any big holidays in June or July to break the long monotony of winter?

Not really, we have a long weekend in June for the queens birthday . We have four school terms so the kids get two weeks off at the start of July

I had to google "Australian holidays" and it said "Northern Territory picnic day"!?!(August 3rd) I guess that only works if you are in that area, but does everyone just pack a picnic lunch and go to the park? I want a picnic day! This might just sound better in my head then it is in real life

Haha, well I guess that's pretty much what people do. Most people BBQ. I still like this picnic day thing, even if it's just awesome in my mind! Maybe I will start a picnic day every summer and invite friends to the park!
