Any Home Bakers Here?

I can vouch that it does not induce labor, just makes you super clean, oh and BTW it tastes awful, so let your sis use it in her baking just don't eat it.  If castor oil is not properly processed it is poisonous it comes from the castor bean which contains Ricin, Ricin  is a poison found naturally in castor beans. If castor beans are chewed and swallowed, the released ricin can cause injury. Ricin can be made from the waste material left over from processing castor beans.
I actually had a different experience with castor oil. I took it and went into labor 2 hours later without getting "cleaned out" but had terrible labor. My other 2 labors were not close to the pain as with the castor oil. I wouldn't recommend it.I feel so bad for you Jesusfreak101 as my son was over 2 weeks late

On a different subject, I need some cooking help, my son had decided to go vegan so any vegan's here that can help me with a main dish he can eat? and the rest of us can try as I will still have the ham and turkey and all the normal stuff, he eats cheeses and stuff , just not meat

You can make homemade mac and cheese, add veggies to it if you want. Quinoa with veggies is super yummy, we do that a lot. There are also lots of good meat substitutes out there now. We aren't vegan or vegetarian but are old landlord was very strictly vegan and my husband and him are very close, so we ate vegan a lot around him. You can also do veggie pizza, lasagna, fajitas. I hope one of those is helpful. If your son still eats cheese, then he would be vegetarian. If he does decide to become vegan, I recommend buying a few kinds of vegan cheese and trying them and finding what one you like. Some are really good, some not so much.

Thanks super helpful and I guess I got it wrong he would be vegetarian. He has really slimmed down and feels so much better. we are juicing but I really like chicken, (did I say that lol) and pork and fish,

Haha, yah I wouldn't want to be vegetarian, but I do try to do meals without meat everyday. I think ever body does better with different things. Tostadas with beans, corn, broccoli and carrots with cheese on top and some salsa are also pretty amazing! I also like to do veggie enchiladas! Let us know what you end up doing.

At least now there is more chicken (and pork and fish...) for you

@Alice28 those tostados sound good.

@katsdar when you decide what you're going to fix for your son, will you share it with us? DH & I aren't vegetarian but do like an occasional meal without meat. Here are 2 recipes from this thread I've made that are really good:

Mushroom Barley soup (it calls for beef broth but you could sub vegetable broth instead) https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/921333/any-home-bakers-here/3200#post_16131302

Pumpkin Raviolis with Brown Butter Sage Sauce (I sub sweet potato for the pumpkin) https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/921333/any-home-bakers-here/2210#post_15839450
