Any Home Bakers Here?

Today is Christmas cookie baking time (and probably tomorrow too)! Need to run to the store to pick up a few things then get started. Wish me luck, this is going to take some work!

Good Luck NFC

Thank you @NorthFLChick and @DigMyChicks for the non egg frosting recipes! If it was just my kid I was frosting cookies with or all older kids, the raw egg whites wouldn't bug me, but with really little kids, I would just rather be extra careful. I'm really excited to have fun New Year's Eve! As a rule, we don't really do sweets at daycare, so the kids will be extra excited to have a cookie decorating party!

I doubt you need it though.
Some people are just good at baking.
I bet you can whip up pie crusts too.

I buy mine in a box.

going to make pumpkin pie today.
And play with keeping the GBHouse together What is the best "Glue" for this?
I thought about trying paste. I knew a kid in elementary school that ate it all the time

it appears that when I moved the cut pieces from counter to baking sheet I did not get them 100% lined up so they are kinda wonkey. I think I need a spackle like substance to keep things together.

I might be overthinking things a bit as well.

I looked up "gingerbread house glue" on Pinterest and this one claims to work well.
5cups powdered sugar
3egg whites

Mix together in large bowl. Beat 3 minutes with hand mixer. Icing should be smooth.

Today is Friday!!! Yay! I won't lie, I'm excited to have a week off! I love my job, but a brake will be nice. Today we are making bread, all my daycare kids LOVE when we make bread and it's a great thing to do on a rainy day.
