The ones I made today weren't that pretty. I must be out of practice

But the bread was tasty with DH's chili tonight and he's promising French toast tomorrow so it's fine!

We're having Chili also, guess it's the cold weather? Thanks about avatar, can't keep up with you but will keep trying

So will copy cat and do those tomorrow too

I don't think there's anything special you get for reaching that point...just seems like a milestone to me.

Of course, I probably ought to give @sunflour a little something...

Are you planning lemon bars...now you got me wanting to make some..

May need a loan for new clothes..

Hoping to make some mini eclairs tomorrow, and after that will be lemon bars

Bummer! I love French toast also. I always put cinnamon and vanilla in mine

i cant get my bread to cut right one i either cut the slice to thick or when i cut them a good thickness the fall apart is there some truck i need to know this is getting frustrating. My husband takes sandwich to work and i really would like to use the bread i make instead of having to buy sandwich bread.

I used to use an electric knife and a bread cutting guide which you can buy. http://www.thegoodguys.com.au/sunbeam-bread-slicing-guide-bmo550
I got good results with those.
I've now got a deli slicer.

EDIT: if it's falling apart because it's really fresh and soft bread, try sticking it into the freezer for a while before you cut it.

I did bake it on thursday could that be a problem. I did cut some off when it first cooled (taste test had a friends daughter over helping with lucy and baking). I doubt i could talk my husband in to a auto matic bread slicer

i havent talked him in to a mixer or bread machine yet and a few other things i need/want for the kitchen so yeah.
