Same here...no cinnamon on the pancakes but love it on French toast!

Here's another question!
What do you put on your pancakes? Ex. Blueberries, chocolate chips, etc

I like to add blueberries to them while they're cooking but not after they're cooked. Chocolate chips belong in cookies, not pancakes.

I like traditional pancakes best...with a dab of butter and real Grade B maple syrup.
Funny rules I know

Oh I don't really like fancy things on my pancakes, too. For me a LOT of butter and maple syrup is fine! My sisters like to go crazy... :)

Hey everyone!

I actually used to post here a while ago, but recently my love for baking has only grown!
Hello!

Hello!
Nice to have you back! Any new recipes to share with us?
I've made fruitcake, bread, marble cakes, and banana bread since I last posted on here. Most of the recipes I cook by are from a 50s Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, and it hasn't disappointed yet!

I have kamut grain that I will mill into flour. I do need to get candied orange peel but do have crystalized ginger.

I will be trying this recipe soon!
:)

This makes one nice sized loaf. Preheat your oven, and Dutch oven for 1 hour at 475*-500*, before baking. I usually bake at 450* for the whole time, but my oven has been acting wonky lately.

Candied orange peel is easy to make.

Cut the peel off a couple oranges (cut orange into sections, and then remove peel), and then slice into thin strips.

Dissolve 200g caster sugar in 300ml of water, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves.
Add peel, and simmer for about 30 minutes.
Strain
Place peel on parchment lined baking sheet, and sprinkle with caster sugar.
Bake at 100*c/212*f for about 1 hour
Peel should be crisp.

Where do you find your Grade B maple syrup? I can only find grade A, and I do not like it. I've read grad B is more mapley tasting.
