Any Home Bakers Here?

I am at work so will not be able to get going on the prep work until I get home

I can't even blame my slackness on work. Got up waaaaay too early then had to take a brief nap. Did a bit of that Learning Center clean up. Went to the store. Took the trash out. Messed with the chickens twice. Those are my only excuses.

I'll get to the pie soon. Then I'm going to make a bread I haven't done forever...Donna's Dilly Bread. It's a recipe from an old friends of my parents, Donna used to be a home ec teacher and the recipe is one she used to have her students make.

Probably too many involved. Seems like everyone is kind of tripping over each other. But it will be good to have various opinions on stuff and to have the project completed.

I always notice that people's pumpkin pies kind of make a dip like this...

It is supposed to go back down after it cools. If it does not, then maybe your eggs are to good at holding shape. Do you use duck eggs by chance?

The main thing is that your pie taste good!

I have a pumpkin pie in the oven right now and a loaf of bread rising. Yay, progress!

these are the pies done today rolls are next decided to do fresh because BF is taking us to the tavern for dinner, rolls can be left to rise then
