I tried a pumpkin cheesecake recipe at Thanksgiving that a friend gave me. Very good and low sugar - I was surprised. I'm going to re-do it using sweet potato instead of pumpkin with maybe a glazed pecan topping.

I baked a rum cake last night for work. My co workers are devouring it!

Good thing the alcohol cooks out .

I have gotten a lot of complements on it. One person said it was the best rum cake they had ever eaten

I like to work with wood and I'm certain the new owners have no idea what they have. The bathroom vanities, I gave into the real estate guy and panted the hard maple white. The counter tops in the dining room and bathrooms were made from Bocote What's funny is the contents of those two skinny little cabinets on either side of the fridge filled two wire shelving units here. The entire setup was based upon what works for a foodie, and the new owner doesn't cook

I have a little convection oven in my office and have baked caramel rolls in it before. I have been asked to bake some again before christmas

That's really cool. For about 10 years I always provided a (store bought) turkey for Thanksgiving meal at work. A couple years ago, I was going to be out of town and the gang asked me to provide the recipe so someone else could do it. It's not rocket science but I did none the less and all were happy. Well all but the boss who brought in the commercially cooked tasteless turkey.

Your kitchen was beautiful...all that open space, cabinetry and counters. No comparison to your work of course, but when we put some cabinets in this tiny house, DH made me a skinny little place for my baking sheets, racks, etc. Things like that are so helpful.

Doesn't it just figure that a non-cook would end up with a kitchen like the one you did? Kills me when I watch those house finder shows and the buyers want a gourmet kitchen...to eat their take out in
