Any Home Bakers Here?

Walmart sells goats milk here. Butter should not be a problem for lactose intolerant people though because the lactate in the milk and not the butter.

This has instructions for making butter from goats milk:

We'll have to check Walmart and give it a try but I've never seen it. He doesn't have a problem with butter and we just buy that now. Milk, he can handle in small amounts but when he's had too much dairy (a cup of chocolate milk and a bunch of dip with cream cheese for example) he gets extreme stomach cramps, and gas pains for a while. Thankfully, it's not every time since he doesn't regulate himself well when he's out with someone else.

Two of my Daughters are a bit lactose intolerant. 23andme DNA test says I have a slight risk for lactose intolerance but I do not have it. It must have passed on to the daughters though.

I like goats milk! You can use it as coffee creamer as whole milk.

One of the next things I am going to try is making goat milk yogurt.

DH has a problem with some dairy products (like certain brands of ice cream or too much milk).

We buy the Lactaid milk at the store and he can drink that without a problem. (Actually, we usually buy the generic version of Lactaid, it's cheaper :)).

We have not tried lactaid yet but have thought about it. Does it taste like regular milk? He misses the taste of real cow's milk.
