Bob's BBQ Sauce
1 stick butter
1 large yellow onion diced
2-4 Jalapeno peppers (habanero if you want more heat) finally diced
1 pound brown sugar
1 small bottle of Worcestershire sauce
32 oz ketchup

Saute onions and peppers in butter until translucent (I add a little salt to help pull the juices into the butter). Add sugar an stir until it starts to melt. Add Worcestershire, stir until well blended and then add ketchup. Simmer until thick.

It's sweet with a bite.

Hi guys! I haven't made BBQ sauce in a long time. Guess I'm getting lazy in my old age - lol. Our favorite BBQ sauce is Jack Daniel's ORIGINAL #7 (important!).

The party my son is throwing for his friend is in a few weeks. He's planning to do an Italian meal, and asked me to help. One of the things he wants me to make is some homemade bread, which I'm more than happy to do. I might do a copycat recipe for the bread they serve at Macaroni Grill, which I've made in the past, or I might try something different. Any suggestions?

Foccacia is really easy. I found a gazillion recipes for it on Pinterest. You can add whatever herb you want to the dough. Basil &/or oregano are nice along with garlic

I have not made BBQ sauce is some time either. I have this one for Baby Beef Short ribs

BBQ Beef Shortribs
Pioneer Hall - Fort Wilderness Campground Resort.

4 to 5 lbs. beef short ribs

Salt and pepper to taste

Season short ribs with salt and pepper and bake at 350 degrees until nicely browned, about 30 minutes. Pour off any accumulated fat in pan. Cool ribs. Set aside.

BARBECUE SAUCE:

1/2 c. tomato puree
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. dry sherry wine
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 tsp. BBQ spice
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 c. catsup
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 c. salad oil
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. water

Combine all ingredients except cornstarch and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into sauce. Cook and stir until mixture boils and is thickened. Cook 2 minutes. Makes about 3 cups. Dip cooled ribs into barbecue sauce and place in a baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until ribs are tender. Yield: 4 servings.

Sorry I missed somthing? What kind of cookies are those in photo?
Farmer Brown? Penny, I must be from old school too. I do not do
BCQ either.

Made my Minestroni Soup....yesterday ...and I used Black Beans instead of Cannalini. I had the black beans and NEVER use them.
Read they were good for us....but I will NOT buy them again. I did not like what they did to my soup. Made it dark.

Any of the beans are good for you!

White beans, garbanzo, red kidney beans and even pinto beans are good in soups
