Can the wells be removed and washed in a dishwasher?
Ron, I cook healthy and I DO NOT know how they get so dirty/
And they are light brown, like oil accumulation. I scrubbed for
1 hour with sos pads, metal scrubber, soaked between scrubbing with dawn and vinegar. Actually, Floyd said I wore the top coating of the chrome. I took most of the guck off and put
a small ring of alum foil in that circle. EEK. I do not think
it can be painted. I think you must have them recoated. Since
it is a GE enamel stove top...need to look for the original paper
work get the model number and order new ones. Of course I am fussy and want them to shine CLEAN. ha ha

Using vinegar in that situation usually does not help at all. The type of deposits you are getting there are normally acidic to start. When trying to clean them up, the use of a base works much better than trying to use an acid. A readily available base is baking soda. Sprinkle some baking soda on and use a soft wet cloth to scrub it in.

I made pumpkin pie, as you can see. They had pie pumpkins at the store. It's that time of year again!

The stuff gets on the stove and oven parts naturally. It does not have to do with healthy cooking or not.

I am sorry the chrome is gone!

Made Chicken and Biscuits. Buttermilk Biscuits. When I went
to look for the biscuit cutter.........at the Cottage. We stayed
at home today. Will need to bring a biscuit cutter and ....others
home. That is the problem: We have An Airstream, A Summer
Cottage and our Home. IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP SEPARATE
THINGS AT EACH PLACE. An old friend told me this years ago...
....I guess I did NOT listen. Live and learn. Aria
