Any Home Bakers Here?

Thanks, guys! I was Soo pleased! And it really is DELICIOUS!! I was like a little kid at Christmas .I kept creeping over to see it rise and giggling like a little girl (i'm 45) to see it working... And then when I tasted it!!!! Yay! I'm on page 1057. I used the recipe and I used the tip for sitting it on a heating pad to help with the rise when it's chilly in the house .I'm so thankful to you guys!! :) (And possibly over-excited. Can you tell?? Lol)
We are here to help!

The heating pad is a very good thing for proofing bread

Do you have any more baking jobs coming up due to the holidays DMC?
I usually only bake to give away. It’s too stressful when you get paid for it:lol:

Hi! They are beautiful!

I made some chocolate chip cookies today with cream cheese in them. I won’t be saving the recipe. I tried to do lefse but it turned into a goopy mess. I’m sure its because my potatoes weren’t cool enough. I had to throw it away:barnie

You do have to watch that! Updates are different from setting default apps.

The browser might be in full screen mode. There is a place at the top right of the window to change that

Your cc cookies look good!

Hello,

@CherMarie, welcome to the baking thread! So glad you are here. There are a lot of recipes that people have posted here, I have posted some myself. I have posted my grandmother's goulash recipe, and some cheese recipes, and more. Currently I'm going to be posting some deer recipes because I took down a deer on October 11th.

Anyway, interesting baking story for everyone. I was going through my recipe cabinet, when I came across a recipe a friend gave to my mother. It was a recipe for something called "monster cookies." I decided to give it a shot, at these cookies turned out delicious. The recipe is very unique, but the cookies are extremely good.

I would like to thank my good friend in Coeur d'Alene Idaho who made the recipe and gave it to my family

Monster Cookies

1 stick of butter (soft)

1 1/2 cups brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon light corn syrup

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 1/2 cups peanut butter

4 1/2 cups old fashioned oatmeal

2/3 cup chocolate chips

2/3 cup mini m&ms

Directions:

Cream butter and sugars together. Add other ingredients in order and mix well. Make cookies big. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes. Do not over bake! Cookies will not look done when you pull them out. Leave them on the pan until they cool completely.

Jared
