It’s been a busy night between the child and the dog. :th I honestly thought I’d make cinnamon raisin bread and the pie. Ha! I’ll be lucky if I can get up the energy to make some pizza dough and soft set scrambled eggs tonight for breakfast pizza. Of course I can do that in the morning, but I had intended to do it tonight.
What shall I top it with? Bacon or chili?

I would vote for Bacon maybe some sausage to keep it company

Hello,

Well, now I can say that I successfully grew a citrus in Idaho.

This is a key lime. I have a potted lime tree and a potted lemon tree that I am growing. This is my first lime.

I'm going to share with you all my brother's lemonade recipe. It is really good. With lemonade or limeade, we follow this ratio.

4:1:1

For every 4 parts of water, you have one part of lemon juice or lime juice and one part of sugar. We follow this ratio all the time, and the lemonade and limeade turns out perfect.

This lime gave me one teaspoon of juice. I got four teaspoons of water, 1 teaspoon of lime juice, and one teaspoon of sugar. Best limeade ever.

Congratulations your lime! I think citrus is so much fun to grow! Here are our citrus trees. The big one (left) was a 3 in 1 that we ordered through a magazine. I believe that it's supposed to be oranges, lemons, and tangerines. It came to us about 6 years ago, looking like a little dehydrated stick! We lost one the 3 so we're not entirely sure what two we still have lol. The smaller one (right) is a Meyer lemon that we picked up a couple years ago. It has a nice big lemon growing on it :) We also have an avocado tree that I started from a pit this year. It's growing very well and I'm excited for it!

Do you keep them inside all year?

Nice!

We had a Meyer lemon tree in FL, loved those! Our Key lime didn't real well, only ever got a few limes off it. The grapefruit tree was a big zero. One of the things I enjoyed about all 3 of them were the blossoms, what wonderful perfume every time we walked by them!

Your's are looking good!

No, we move them outside in the spring and then back in once fall comes back. We're going to need a greenhouse soon though because they're getting difficult to move around!

Hello,

@penny1960, Meyer lemons are pretty easy to grow. Just keep in mind that Citrus will not tolerate any Frost. They will fruit in pots, I have a massive lemon on mine right now. There is a website that I ordered mine from called fast-growing-trees. They're a good company, and they have a lot of information about how to grow the plants.

My banana has yet to fruit, but it will fruit soon according to my observations.

Here's pictures of each one in case you guys are interested.

My key lime, Meyer lemon, dragon fruit Cactus, and dwarf Cavendish banana.
