I went to buy the Artisan mixer, but can’t figure out how to apply the gift card (the Kitchen Collection store). Once I figure that out, I’ll be getting my new prize! I am currently interested in purchasing the cover and the scraper paddle. Perhaps a grinder, but I can’t remember what I recently needed to grind.
My sister has several attachments (she’s not very comfortable in the kitchen, so she couldn’t really recommend a Kitchen Aid). I might share with her.
Thank you for the assistance! I’m looking forward to having a KA soon!

I have: Dough hook, paddle, and what I call the beater. No Grinder. They are all attachments I use often....and would NOT part with any of them. Each of these attachments WORK. Aria

I’m sure those three will work great for making everything. To be honest, I hate having a million accessories. Too much clutter! My sister mentioned the ice cream attachment, and while I agree it sounds like fun, I already have an ice cream maker. The only grinder I have is a crank that is attached to a table or counter. So that attachment wouldn’t necessarily be clutter. My sister mentioned having a peeler. The only peeler attachment I saw cost over $100. If my apple trees bear fruit this fall, I’ll be needing a peeler!
Anyway, let’s see if I can figure out how to do this gift card.

I have the same attachments as you Aria, plus the cover (which I only use to keep dust out of it).

BC, if you get the grinder check to see if it's made of metal or plastic. My brother has used both and was not at all happy with the plastic grinder, loves the metal one.

Some day I'd like to try the pasta attachments too...that's something we eat a lot of.

Went to the doctor yesterday. I have a common cold AND a stomach bug that's been going around. I am pretty contagious, so I will NOT be baking for others until I am better.

Just curious, does anyone have any recipes that are easy on the stomach?

For Christmas my sister gave me a book with fan made recipes from a video game series. I'll try those when I am better.

Sorry to hear you're still not feeling well Jared. When I have that sort of illness, the most I want is chicken broth and maybe saltine crackers.

I have the Grinder - it is a plastic body. Had to buy a new grinder as the old one was cracked at the back where it attaches to the Kitchen-Aide. When we get a deer, I freeze the burger bits in 1 and 1.5 pound packages so I can make a "fresh" grind when I need it. Make sure the meat is still partially frozen ( ice crystals ) and it will grind so much better. I like the chili grind plate for chili, tacos and casseroles as the bigger holes make a nice chunky burger. The regular grind plate is great for burgers.
The pasta extruder - I have never had luck with. I really like the pasta roller set though. I will have to make pasta this weekend.
