@ronott1 That is really similar to how I make pork chops, only I don't use cream (bet that is delicious!) and I add mushrooms. Made in the cast iron, of course.
I had an enameled dutch oven that was stained really bad - I thought. I finally tossed it out and bought a new one. Upon inspection of the new one, turns out the old cheap one had the enamel coating cracked really bad through out the inside. It was actually rusting beneath the enamel.
Smothered pork chops are a classic!

I make better than canned cream of anything soup with mushrooms sometimes for the smothered pork chops.

It is on the menu for Wednesday. Tonight is broccoli stir fry

The feeling of finding another five pounds of flour when your container is down to about four cups.

The feeling of finding two measuring cups you thought you’d lost.

I bought a set of measuring cups specifically to put in the bins. The flour bin has the one cup measuring cup, the sugar has the 1/4 cup measuring cup, and the 1/2 cup went into the brown sugar. What to do with the poor, little, unwanted 1/3 cup measuring cup? I figured it out this weekend - we bought a big tub of Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate mix from Sams Club, the 1/3 cup is just about perfect for a 10 ounce coffee cup of hot chocolate goodness. Yes, it is more than they say to use, but extra chocolaty is right up my alley. Besides, I coundn't find the measruing scoop that they normally put in the tub.

I bought a new set of measuring cups for the same reason. I just have not actually put them in the bins.
Powdered drinks, and even powdered laundry aids, don’t always have a scoop anymore. As for the hot chocolate/chocolate milk, I don’t think anyone actually uses the little the company recommends.
I made hot chocolate powder. I happen to have the stale mini marshmallows too. I bought them for Duckling, but apparently they aren’t the same as picking them out of the cereal. Ditto with raisins.

I bought an extra set of measuring cups just because sometimes I'm too busy (ok, really it's too lazy) to wash one out when I'm in the middle of baking something :p
I have a lot of measuring cup and spoon sets....I have two that are called odd sized measuring cups. It has 1\3, 2\3, 3\4 and 1 1\2 in the set. Another set has 1 1\2, 1 1\4 and 2 cup measuring cups in it.

Sometimes I use several sets in a baking session!

I should have five sets of cups, I think. Three or four spoons. Then there’s three measuring things for all spoon sizes, a 1/3- 1 cup cup, and all the medicine cups that show various measurements.
Of course Duckling has spoons and cups too.
:thumbsup

I have a liquid measuring "cup" for 1/2 teaspoon up to 2 tablespoon measures, it looks like a shot glass. And I have one of those adjustable ones with a plunger that is supposed to slide to the measure you want, then fill it and then push the ingredients out. Ya, that sounds too easy - I think i made a mess every time I tried to use it.
