Any Home Bakers Here?

I have made taco seasoning before. However, I also knew that I’d bought seasoning. I couldn’t find any of the packets, so I opened another cabinet to see if the jar of seasoning was in there. I forgot that it had been tossed.
No problem, I’ll make some more. I even went so far as to remove the spices & seasoning from my canning cabinet. I don’t even have oregano! Obviously I need to put several things on my shopping list.

What kinds of spices do you guys always keep on hand?
Way too many!

Since I started making Indian food recipes, I have those along with basic spices and Hispanic spices.

Cayenne
Basil
oregano
parsley
pepper
chipotle pepper
cardamon
cumin
coriander
gram Marsala
cloves
star anise
ginger
thyme
sage
fennel
season salt and other salts
lowrys chill powder

And of course the pie spices

Lots of others but the above are the main ones

Too many to list! We like our food flavorful :D

I thought I had most of those (all except garam masala actually). I have garlic and chili powders, and even onion powder and diced onion. Mustard and celery seed, as well as mustard powder from canning. Add about five others, and that’s about it. I think the seasoning fairy stole my seasoning!! Or I was canning a lot, and forgot to replace a lot of things as I ran out. I do occasionally can for a week straight. I found out the noise didn’t wake Duckling, and it became a fun thing to prep with her when she was awake(even if she just sat in her seat, and drooled), then do the boring part when she napped or went to bed for the night.

What is your recipe Debby? I would like to try refrigeration.

This is our favorite pizza dough recipe:

One thing I like about it, you make one batch and divide it into thirds. So you can make 3 pizzas, or what we like to do, make 2 pizzas and save the other part for focaccia. Sometimes we'll make 2 pizzas at once (so we have lots of leftovers) but mostly we just make up 1 since there are just the two of us.

I got brave and tried lattice blueberry pie. It might have been easier if I had used fresh berries instead of making a pie filling. The pie filling turned out great but sticky when trying to put it together. Practice makes perfect!
