Any Home Bakers Here?

YES, And I changed Starter Jars this morning. I always think if you when I make the Sourdough Bread and think of Penny when I
clean the jar. ha ha. SUPER FRIENDS APPRECIATED. Aria
I cleaned out a jar last week(I keep two starters). Some went down the drain to keep the pipes clear.

Dumb question??? Why should I keep two starter jars? Just asking myself that. Need a REASON. What is yours? If you would like to share. Inquiring mind wants to know. Aria
Abbi nailed it!

The second jar has a different starter in it and is a good backup

My first reason is because I have had close calls with pink starter. My second is that some people want some starter now! Literally not wanting to wait one minute for me to pour some in another jar.
Thanks Bull Chick....and I just thought of another reason...Have a jar at the Cottage....NOW that I will have my Hoosier and will be baking there. I THINK....I should take 1/2 of the Jar I have at home and put 1/2 of the starter in another jar. YES? Aria

Make sure to have enough starter in the jars for the recipes you make!

It is a very good idea to have starter at both places

Ron, I just baked and have enough to bake using one cup. I will add to it again tomorrow....I plan to keep adding and with the jar
is almost full...I will remove one cup to start the second jar and keep adding to both jars. YES. NEED your input. Thanks again, Aria
