Any Home Bakers Here?

Anybody know if there’s any difference between these except the one has no aluminum. That is the one I always use and I’m almost out and they don’t carry it locally. I’m not sure if I’ll get to a Walmart any time soon.

There was a time when many thought aluminium caused alzheimers. Current research says it does not though.

Use whichever you can get locally
 
Thanks Ron! I had heard that. Father in law died from it so was worried about it happening to hubby and did switch to this because of it.
You do not have to worry about aluminium. It does not cause Alzheimer disease. We get more aluminium from air conditioners and it is at about 15% in our soil.

We are constantly exposed by a lot more than we could get from baking powder

Added: I suspect that it will become harder to find aluminium free baking powder in the future due to a lower demand for it

I keep up with Alzheimer disease because my 23andme profile shows one marker for it.

Eating veggies and doing aerobics are two things that are important to keep the genes from being expressed to the disease.

Mine says a slightly higher than average chance after 65.

I also have one for celiac and lactose intolerance.

I do not have either of those! I love me some gluten!

Either will work. Personally I prefer the aluminum free because it does make a flavor difference in the final product to me. My neighbor used to mix baking soda and cream of tartar. One half teaspoon of baking soda plus one teaspoon of cream of tartar is supposed to be the equivalent of two teaspoons of baking powder.

Thank you, that’s good to know. I always have cream of tartar and baking soda on hand.
