Old folk memory used just milk no water but did use vegetable it burns allot hotter
not sure why I decided that but making hamburgers tonight

A brown mushroom sauce to put on burgers or steak...like Hardees mushroom Swiss.

That sounds a lot like what I make for the Salisbury Steak recipe I use. Let me see if it's in the Index.
 
I'm going to try a new cake recipe today...Double Caramel Bundt Cake. Hope it works out ok :fl

Cake is made. It's certainly not the prettiest cake I've ever made but it smells promising! One thing I'll have to change is the amount of frosting the recipe called for. I went to pour it from the saucepan it was cooked in to pour over the cake when my hand slipped. Yikes, it was a regular deluge of caramel frosting! Next time, I'll make just half and that should be plenty :p

I'll take a picture once we cut into it and taste it.

Normally there's quite a bit of similarity in copy cat recipes, this one had four with 5 star ratings that couldn't be more different. Most often the differences are in pre-packaged vs scratch, not the case with this one. They all looked great, but don't know enough to zero in on it.
