You could try wrapping it in a tea towel them into a bag. Do they get soggy?

Yes, or moldy. I was reading about it a bit and the tea towel was the most suggested. Or a paper bag. Anything beyond a few days should be frozen I guess.

I know crusty bread can be stored cut side down on a cutting board, at least that's how we've always done it.

I'm going to bake 4 loaves of bread for sandwiches this weekend so I'll give the tea towel a try. Thank you!

That's how I do it too, cut side down. Then DH eats it all before the day is out so that's another way of keeping it fresh. :gig

My 10 year old granddaughter loves to bake so on Saturday we made a loaf called Croatian Potato Bread. It calls for rosemary and fresh garlic as well as grated potato. Omg no storage problems there! I sent half home with her and wished I’d cut us a bigger piece!

I'd love to see a recipe for that bread, if you wouldn't mind sharing! Sounds wonderful:)
