Took down a daily limit of Canada Goose today. Brought home four that were between 10 and 12 pounds.

Got my apple pie baked yesterday. DH was so funny about it, apparently he's managed to live into his mid-50's without ever having had a homemade apple pie. He's already mapping out the slice he's going to have for breakfast.

He said "why haven't you ever made an apple pie before?" and I had to remind him it was because he had said he didn't like them. Now he's saying it's his favorite pie.

DH and I got to talking about sweet potato pie. Have you ever made one? I'm thinking of trying it out instead of pumpkin for Thanksgiving.

You know it! The only type of "homemade" apple pie he had in the past was made using canned apple pie filling and a store-bought crust. That stuff is nasty!
