Animal shelter here told us that feral adult cats cannot be tamed

Maybe...she would stay and eat and sit nearby but no petting allowed. She would rub my leg with her tail briefly but if I bent to pet her she was off like a shot.

That may be true for most feral cats, but @sourland has one that has come to accept him. I haven't given up on this guy yet. He might not ever be a house cat, but I would like to groom him (he's a grubby little guy) and get him in to a vet for some basic care.

Yikes, Bob should be scared sharing a chair with a zombie!

Used the leftover Ham to make Ham and Bean Soup. Made a
large crock pot full and of course there are now 3 bottles sealed
in the Refrigerator for later. We both enjoyed it. We very seldom
have Ham and Ham and Bean Soup was not something I always
make. I soaked dried beans 2 cups Drained in the morning and
put in the crock pot. Added: 3 sliced carrots 1 sliced potato
and 3 pieces of celery 1 tsp thyme 1 T parsley and 1/2 tsp
pepper and 4 cups veggie broth. And cubed leftover ham. Cooked
on high for 5 hours. Baked cornbread served with it.
