I do not have allot of odd flour AP and some unbleached that's it
Not sure what type of flour your talking about, but I just had to add that self-rising flour is EASY to make. In fact, I never buy it anymore. It gets old sitting on the grocery shelf, so it's much smarter to make up your own mix.

1 cup AP flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

All of this talk of donuts and filled cupcakes has me looking at donut recipes. Found one for Boston Cream that I think I'll try.
I make Boston Cream Pie for my DH, usually for his birthday. Boston Cream anything is my all-time favorite, which means I have to keep a safe distance away. Curious about your donuts. Are they fried? I know nothing about making donuts, so apologies for nubie questions. :)

In the index we have some doughnut recipes and fritters to! Most are baked

I'm still looking but most of the recipes that look good to me are fried. Though I've been successful with custard, it still terrifies me.

Uh-oh, this could be trouble. And to think I picked up another 25 lbs of flour the other day ...
I buy flour like that from Costco about every two months LOL!
