Those are the same thing as egg rings, crumpet rings, whatever. You coat with oil or butter inside and pour in batter or crack an egg. I have a set.

So these are the finished doughnuts take them to the fire hall down here View attachment 2114624
Nice job, I love homemade cake doughnuts.
Here are my, fresh from the oven, KAF Sourdough Buns. I made them with half AP flour and whole wheat. I scored 3 bags of whole wheat today from Kroger! I put one of everything they showed as having in my basket and got everything but KAF:( But, that's okay, I'll make use of what I got until my KA order gets here.View attachment 2115044

They look good.
Are you looking for a reason?

I was talking to our UPS guy the other day. He said he's about ready to collapse from delivering the piles of packages. It almost made me feel guilty for ordering cake sprinkles (but not a whole lot guilty).
I talked to our fed ex guy...for a second, he said it’s worse then Christmas.
The sourdough bread turned out very well today! I used the ingredients from an online site but changed the method to make it easier.

I also used my Oregon sourdough starter so for those using different starters and not using a proofer, the times may be different.

Recipe
Champlain Sourdough Bread

Ingredients

304g water
389g Bread flour (I used AP flour)
38g Whole spelt flour
19g Whole Rye Flour
50g Fed Starter at 100% hydration(fed half and half water and flour)
10g salt

Premix all ingredients at 9pm the night before baking bread. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Replenish the starter and leave out over night.
The next morning make the first fold at 7am (or when you get up)

look up the folding technique on you tube.

Let rest an hour and then fold again. Let raise half an hour and then shape into a ball using flour to keep the dough from sticking. Put the ball into a basket or a floured tea towel lined medium bowl with the seam side up. Let raise 1 to two hours until risen—should see a bubble or two on the outside of the dough.

Preheat Dutch oven with lid in 450-degree oven.

Cut a rectangle of parchment paper. When dough is risen, pour out onto the parchment paper. Make slashes. Take Dutch Oven out and carefully put the dough into the pan. Cover with lid and put back into the oven. Bake for 20 minutes.

Remove Dutch oven and move bread to a cool cookie sheet. Put back into the oven to let the outside crisp up—5 to 10 minutes
Very nice!
I had a small batch earlier. Today there was enough to share but I did not share it.

I wish I liked asparagus. I have 3 bunches in the fridge and my son that likes it isn’t home to eat it. I’ll have to bring it to work to get rid of it.
I made sourdough English Muffins last night. I used Ron’s recipe. I didn’t have buttermilk so I used kefir. I saw a YouTube video where they were cooked in a covered cast iron skillet so I did that and 9 minutes total time was plenty. Next time I’m using a bigger cutter though, 3 inches is just too small. @Sequel the Croatian Potato Bread was a hit! I'll be adding that to my list of regular breads to bake. Sure made a big loaf, plenty for toast and sandwiches today.

igorsMistress, It is NOT necessary. Icing...confect sugar, extract you like
and tiny bit of water. Light frosting applied when cookies are warm.
They are FINE plain if you like. They are a soft cookie. Bake LIGHT gold..
if you let them cook too long they will be DRY and hard. Aria
