Any Home Bakers Here?

No. they are like Italian fig cookies. They are a dough rolled out, filling put in and the dough rolled over to make about a 1 inch tall roll. they are cut about 3 inches long and then one side sliced a few times and the cookie bent. Baked and frosted. Next time I make some, I will take pics. They kind of taste like fig newtons. The filling has figs, dates, raisins, walnuts, orange pulp, honey, a little orange zest and a small sprinkle of pepper for zing.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures and a recipe the next time you make them...they sound really good!

I ordered white popcorn and bridge mix from nuts.com.

I was very tempted by many of their candied almonds and etc.!

I've been hiding my purse so I don't make an order right now. But I did sign up for their emails so I'm sure ordering time is coming.

Hope you like the items you get from them Ron!

I was able to recover my account with them. I will likely be ordering for from them!

Baked Pepper Cookies and Cream Cheese Biscotti Today. And what
is going on with this weather? We are having SNOW...right now.
I do not remember snow in Middle May. My tulip bulbs had green
and now they are not standing. Darn. Aria
I am sorry about the snow!

It does sound like a good day of baking though

YES, it was. I even had time to look over King Arthur Catalog ...old one
1918,,,clean out old magazines. I did save this one. Has many recipes.
And I was reading the protein between the All Purpose King Arthur and
their Bread Flour is only 1 % less in the AP. Never paid attention to that
before. Learning is fun. Aria

The Medjool dates were the best dates I've ever had, I'm thinking of getting more.
I wonder why DW has not ever ordered those along with all the other stuff. She's got me paying $12.99 for them at the health food store 25 miles south of her.

Do you suppose they would give us a discount on our next order since I "promoted" their business on a busy website? ;)
