Tried something new for dinner last night...Reuben Burgers. It was a burger patty with Swiss cheese, cooked up sauerkraut that had chopped pastrami in it, topped with homemade Russian dressing and a fresh made Brioche bun (everything bagel seasoning on the bun). It was good!

Looks delicious
:gigyes, hopefully sooner than anticipated! I got on the ladder to start taping cabinet edges and saw all the dust up there and couldn't just leave it so had to clean it up. There are a couple of patches on the wall that need finishing and then texture, the baseboards needed scrubbing. I'm tired and haven't painted a thing yet!
Isn’t that how every project is? It was when I painted.

A couple of items that resembled baking this afternoon. Home made tortilla chips and a triple batch of dutch babies.
I've come to a compromise on the dutch babies.....I'm ok if they don't puff spectacularly or look as nice as the pictures. They use more eggs, which I have a bunch of, and less GF flour, which I never have enough of, yet still give that bready feel of having pancakes or muffins and that keeps kiddo happy. Less pretty but more filling.
Also put some big potatoes in the bottom for upcoming country hashbrowns.

Probably won't do bread for another week.

What matters most is if you like them (and your family)...we aren't taking pictures for a magazine here :)

Penny that’s just ridiculously delicious looking! I’ll bet it was, huh?

Bruce, if you still can't get spelt flour, PM me. I can certainly send you some. If you have the ability to grind it, I'll just send berry's, if not I can grind it and send in the same day.
That is exceedly kind of you especially given you have plenty on your plate right now. I will PM my address as I've heard nada from Nutsonline regarding them having spelt flour available again and it has been over 3 weeks already. I have no way to grind berries.

Hang in there....you are doing it RIGHT...preparing to paint. THAT IS
NECESSARY.
Correct. Prep is actually more important than the painting, especially if you are rolling it on walls. It can take longer to tape all the areas you don't want to get paint on that the painting.
Use a cloth paint tarp, not plastic. If you drip any paint on plastic you'll end up tracking it all over the place because you WILL step on those drips.

You ARE going to take the outlet and switch covers off right? Some people think they can just paint around them. Guess what, it takes longer to do that without getting paint on the covers (and they ALWAYS get some paint on them anyway) than it does to remove and reinstall a few screws ... and it looks like "carp" anyway.

I painted the mudroom and parts of the bathroom where some repair was done. I was REALLY CAREFUL and I still had "holidays". It always looks different in the light of a new day after the paint dries :th Can't hurt to have another pair of eyes look at it from a distance while you are painting, they may be able to see those holidays that you don't because you are focusing more closely.

Other than that, I know how to process a bird now!
All practiced up parting out a bird :D Did you bake it, fry it, do something else with it?

I probably shouldn't but I will introduce you to Rockler.com that's an opportunity to see all of the goodies you can incorporate into your new cabinets. Just remember my last kitchen....
I don't know if I should say thanks, or that the link is just down right mean! 😆

DIYer here who likes to tinker and remodel. I still have half the floors to replace, a second bath to re-do, and a full kitchen make over. I'll be replacing the sink and faucet myself, am mulling over doing some tile, plus painting all gazillion cabinets including hinges. There are just way to many hinges to replace cost wise so hopefully some oiled bronze paint will do the trick.

Contemplating trying to paint the metal on the ceiling fan to match the hinges, and perhaps the hood over the stove to match the appliances. Replacing either of those means I have to mess with doing some electric which I'm not crazy about. Fan is probably not hard, but is in a very awkward place.

Off subject....This is a photo of my Orchid my Daughter gave me several
years ago....It Blooms yearly. It now has 3 Orchids ad 7 more buds to
open. I water it once a week ...tiny amount...it is a tiny plant but blooms
yearly:
