Thanks for posting. Will be making this one. Aria

Four years ago, Duckling made some salt dough ornaments. The undecorated ones have been hiding in a cabinet since. She did them last week, and I encouraged her to bring them with her. The ones I have are enough for any tree, and she made them thick and heavy! Thick is good for action figures, but heavy doesn’t work on a poor branch.
Anyway, the dough is great for baby hand and footprints to share with family that cannot visit due to social distancing.

Salt dough for ornaments

2 cups ap flour

1 cup table salt

1 cup water

Mix the salt and flour together, then slowly add the water until a ball is formed.

Knead dough 7-10 minutes.

Roll out dough and cut into shapes.

Allow to air dry or bake at 325 on a foiled cookie sheet. For each 1/4 inch of thickness, cook for 1/2 hour.

Allow to cool, and decorate.

Store unused dough in a plastic bag.

That's such a fun project to do with kids! I still have some from when my kids were tiny.
