Any Home Bakers Here?

My biggest problem apart from not having much in the way of cash, is the lay out and size of the kitchen. The work tops are awful and I'm aiming to see if I can save to have a working surface that will surround the hob I intend to buy, eventually, to stop the food dropping at the sides and to give me more work space.

I would dearly love to have an oven range. An old friend of mine once had one that ran on wood, many year's ago I practically lived at a local farm that had the same their food tasted good and their bread and pies to die for. :)
I usually get the appliances from Home depot. You get to spread the cost over 6 months to a year with now interest charged.

Luckily our house has standard spaces for appliances

Good morning from the US. :frow
Yes the money pit of the kitchen and laundry room is well known here at my house. Appliances are a little hard to get here.
I'm sorry you have difficulty with acquiring appliances. You can order here, for a price but the deliveries are a nightmare.

I lost the whole of my food bought for this winter because they kept dropping the arrangements on my fridge freezer. When they finally turned up it was the wrong size now my kitchen is just impossible and my bin is full of beautiful food gone to waste.

I hope you have better luck getting what you need :)

I think it’s called Champlain Bread. I haven’t tried it yet but I sure plan to!
I FINALLY got one to rise properly the last time I made it. I used Ron's Large Champlain recipe.

Amazing how much I grew up.
Time does that to a person, just look around at the rest of us. We were all 23 once .... a long time ago.

surround the hob I intend to buy
OK, I guess that is a British-American miss. What is a hob?

Actually I work in construction, the company I work for builds homes. Many temporary appliances have been installed while waiting on the one that comes with the home. Then we go back after they come in and install the correct ones for the owners. A real nightmare had by all. Especially with the virus and not being able to readily access the home

a hob is a burner.
In modern British English usage, the word refers to a cooktop or hotplate, as distinguished from an oven.
