Ron, I forgot (doing that frequently these UNHAPPY DAYS) you peel
and dice one apple and that is the part of the Almost Apple Pie. It was
Excellent. Will make it again. In fact to make it with a crust: you use
1/2 cup oat flour and 1/4 tsp Baking Powder. It is MORE like a piece
of apple pie. I did not have oat flour and did not feel like putting the Oats in my blender and make the flour. Aria

The Almost Apple Pie

Do you layer the ingredients or mix them together prior to microwaving?
 
Morning bakers making sloppy joes this morning hate the canned stuff so making our own pulled a recipe off all recipes tend to trust them
  • 1 ½ pounds extra lean ground beef
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 cup water
  • ¾ cup ketchup
  • 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 ½ teaspoons salt, or to taste
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper to taste
 
Okay sory but this is from Cookie book grew up with these .. This was a favorite German cookie
To make the pfeffernuse light or Dark
1/2 C shortening
3/4 C Brown sugar (packed)
3 Eggs
1/2 C molasses (for light omit)
3 drop anise oil (buy in a pharmacy old) Now use Amazon...
1/4 cup Hot water
3 1/2 C flour (more if needed)
1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp cloves (I use more, Grandmas had a bite)

Oven moderate 350..
Mix wet ingredients then add dry. If dough seams soft refrigerate Roll into 3/4 inch balls ..
Bake 8 to 10 minutes ..
Had to fix typos
