Any Home Bakers Here?

I had that problem with my mother-in-law. i would be in the kitchen any time I was there and she was cooking. That is how I got my husbands favorite recipes.

Give it a try when she makes the Scalloped Potatoes. After writing everything down find a quiet place and make some kind of order out of your notes. You may have to watch her again to completely round out the recipe.
We never could get my dads recipe for dressing and all 6 of us tried. There’s at least 6 varieties floating around here. Little of this little of that and poof he’d have it made.

You can get her recipe by standing right there as she makes it and writing down each step and the measurements.

Scalloped Potatoes
I did that with my grandmother. She was the best cook in the county- people paid her to make their Thanksgiving pies cakes and dressing. I watched, documented and attempted to make. Mine is pretty good, but not the same as hers. I think no one can imitate the magic of a great cook.
