Have aloe I agree but have a even better burn salve, not even bad enough to blister. Thank heavens
I turned second degree burns into first degree burns by splitting open a section of aloe and bandaging on to the burned area.

Wow never bandage a burn Grandma taught me that when I was little she said the burn keeps burning that has stuck with me all these years ... I am so sorry you learned the hard way
:lau
First degree burns are the mildest burns followed by second degree and third degree burns which are the most severe. By bandaging the aloe to the second degree blistered burns, they healed to first degree burns within a 12 hour period.

If I had not bandaged it like I did, it would still have been blistered the next day instead of turning into the milder first degree burns.

You are correct that you do not want a bandage directly contacting a severe burn. The inside of the aloe leaf was what was touching the burned area.

Hadn’t thought of that. Great idea. We have a very large aloe plant. I hope I never have to use this technique.

There were some studies done on finding natural antibiotics for broiler chickens done with aloe.
